Attention: Conewago Township Customers

A scheduled water shutdown will begin at 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 4. During this time, affected customers may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of service. Once service is restored, you may experience air in the lines or discolored water for a short period of time. If this occurs, we recommend running cold water for several minutes until it clears.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work.

Our Timely Automatic Payment Program (TAP) will be discontinued on June 30, 2026.

If you are a customer currently enrolled in TAP, be sure to select another convenient automatic payment option.

Reminder: York Water covers all payment processing fees for water and wastewater services provided by The York Water Company.

News and Press Releases

Two systems. Two closings. One superb team.

The York Water Company recently closed on the acquisition of two water systems, one in York and the other in Adams County. York Water’s Engineering and Operations Teams had the lead with installing over 20,000 feet of new water main to connect two small communities to York Water’s safe, reliable source of supply and to disconnect the existing, contaminated sources that had been serving over 300 families. While York Water’s efforts to install over 20,000 feet of ductile pipe in six months is impressive, so, too, is the tenacious and diligent legal effort to affect these two transactions. York Water is fortunate to have superb in-house counsel, reinforced and supported by our long standing partners from Stock and Leader. Two systems. Two closings. One superb team.
