The York Water Company recently closed on the acquisition of two water systems, one in York and the other in Adams County. York Water’s Engineering and Operations Teams had the lead with installing over 20,000 feet of new water main to connect two small communities to York Water’s safe, reliable source of supply and to disconnect the existing, contaminated sources that had been serving over 300 families. While York Water’s efforts to install over 20,000 feet of ductile pipe in six months is impressive, so, too, is the tenacious and diligent legal effort to affect these two transactions.
