Attention: Conewago Township Customers

A scheduled water shutdown will begin at 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 4. During this time, affected customers may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of service. Once service is restored, you may experience air in the lines or discolored water for a short period of time. If this occurs, we recommend running cold water for several minutes until it clears.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this necessary work.

Our Timely Automatic Payment Program (TAP) will be discontinued on June 30, 2026.

If you are a customer currently enrolled in TAP, be sure to select another convenient automatic payment option.

The York Water Company Acquires Brookhaven Mobile Home Community Water System

JT Hand, President & CEO of The York Water Company (NASDAQ: YORW) announced today that The York Water Company has closed on the acquisition of the water distribution system at the Brookhaven Mobile Home Community in Hallam Township, York County.

Beginning in 2022 the water treatment technology of the Brookhaven water supply was no longer able to meet safe drinking water standards for tetrachloroethylene (PCE), leaving the residents without a safe drinking water supply.  In response, the facility owner reached out to York Water for a solution, and York Water extended 8,000 feet of water pipe to connect the water distribution system to York Water’s supply.

President Hand stated, “We are pleased to provide Brookhaven residents with a safe, reliable drinking water supply for their homes and families.  The contaminated wells that served this community have been disconnected and will be appropriately decommissioned. We welcome our newest customers in the Brookhaven Community to York Water and look forward to supporting them with the same superior service provided to our customers for over 208 years.”

The York Water Company is honored to provide water and wastewater services to over 210,000 people in 59 communities and visitors in Adams, Franklin, York, and Lancaster counties.
