Celebrating The Children’s Home of York
Today we applaud The Children’s Home of York as they mark 160 years of serving the York community. The York Water Company’s connection with this extraordinary organization goes back to their very beginning. Our then president, Samuel Small, and his wife, Isabel financially supported and later donated land where the original Children’s Home of York stood at North Pine and East Philadelphia serving those in need from 1867-1972. With The Small’s leading the way, our leaders have continued to support The Children’s Home of York even to this day. Congratulations to the entire team at The Children’s Home of York! You are making an incredible difference to the lives of so many of our neighbors. Here’s to another 160 years!
