Since 1816, the mission of The York Water Company has been clear: protect our community and deliver safe, reliable water. Founded to prevent fire and supply water to local industry in York (then Yorktowne), York Water now collects, treats, and distributes drinking water to customers across York, Adams, Franklin, and Lancaster Counties.

Lake Williams Reopens

After two years of construction to renovate the Lake Williams Dam, The York Water Company, in cooperation with the York County Parks, reopened Lake Williams for recreation on Saturday, May 25 at 6:00 AM. The York Water Company appreciates the community for their patience through the entire Lake Williams Dam Rehabilitation project and look forward to seeing our boating community on the lake once again.
