America’s oldest investor-owned utility continues to reach new heights.
Leadership. Stewardship. Investment.
For more than 200 years, The York Water Company has focused on making responsible investments in our infrastructure to ensure our ability to deliver dependable, high-quality water and wastewater services at stable rates for our customers.
Our strong governance structure and commitment to system innovation and sustainability has driven consistent operational performance and growth across our growing service territory. With great financial prudence, we have fostered system efficiencies and ongoing opportunities for scalability along with advancements in infrastructure. This has allowed us to deliver consistent dividend payouts to our loyal investors, making York Water Company the record holder of the longest consecutive dividend streak held by a public company in the United States.
As America’s oldest investor-owned utility, we take pride in achieving new milestones and building on our history of success for generations to come. We invite our shareholders and customers to celebrate these history-making moments with us as we continue to invest strategically in the future.
A History of Success
Four years ago, York Water Company rang the closing bell at the NASDAQ Stock Market to celebrate 200 years of serving our Central Pennsylvania communities.
In 2006 and 2010, we returned to New York City to celebrate our 5th and 10th anniversaries of our stock being traded on the NASDAQ.
Another History-Making Achievement
On November 23, 2020, our President and CEO JT Hand was back at the NASDAQ – this time virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic – to ring the closing bell as we announce 600 consecutive dividends and nearly 20 years of York Water trading on the NASDAQ.
